  1. All participants enter the event entirely at their own risk and Cancer Research UK shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation, except as a result of Cancer Research UK’s negligence.
  2. Participants and volunteers under 18 must be accompanied and supervised at the event by a responsible adult at all times. We can take no responsibility for under 18s on the day.
  3. By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in Relay For Life to be used to publicise Relay For Life and Cancer Research UK generally, in all media.
  4. Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in Relay For Life should take medical advice from a general practitioner prior to the event. Although Relay For Life is not a challenge event, team members should bring any health problems or medication to the attention of the organising committee via their Team Captain prior to the event.
  5. As part of our commitment to your safety, Cancer Research UK may use your personal details to assist the emergency services if required.
  6. You have a legal responsibility to ensure that all donations/monies received or raised in any way by you for Relay For Life are paid to Cancer Research UK through your Relay organising committee before and/or on the day of the event.
  7. There is no on the day entry for Relay For Life Teams.
  8. All participants understand that any incentives are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted if necessary.
  9. Cancer Research UK Relay For Life is a tobacco free environment. Smoking is strictly forbidden in any public area of the Relay event.
  10. Relay For Life is a family event and alcohol, where permitted at a venue, should be consumed only in moderation. Anyone behaving inappropriately or in a manner such as to cause disturbance or annoyance to other guests or participants will be asked to leave. Should a relay venue not allow alcohol consumption then all participants must abide by their rules.
