How it works

Start a team by finding a Relay For Life event and registering your team. By registering a team you will become the Team captain. Team captains must be 18 or over.

Once you have registered your team – let all your friends, family and colleagues know your team name so they can sign up to join your team!

What you'll be doing as a Team captain

As a team captain you can recruit your team of friends, family members and colleagues and motivate them to get fundraising by sending emails and messages through your Participant zone.

Don't forget to set a fundraising target for your team. It’s a great way to motivate people to give generously.

It’s up to you to keep your team up to date with fundraising progress and to get them excited for the event. Your first step is to find your local event and get registered.

There are lots of ways to take part in Relay For Life. If you don't want to start a team you can join an existing one as a team member, take part as a Survivor or even organise a Relay For Life event yourself!
