How it works

• Find your nearest Relay For Life using our event finder below.
• Choose an event and register your team online. Team Captains must be over 18 but anyone can join your team once you register so recruit your friends, family members and colleagues.
• Start fundraising!

What do the Team captains do?

As a team captain it’s your job to motivate and lead your Relay For Life team. You can recruit 8 to 15 of your friends, family members and colleagues and motivate them to fundraise by sending emails and messages through your Participant zone.

Don't forget to set a fundraising target for your team. It’s a great way to motivate people to give generously.

It’s up to you to keep your team up to date with fundraising progress and to get them excited for the event. Your first step is to find your local event and get registered. 

Other ways to take part

There are lots of ways to take part in Relay For Life. If you don't want to start a team you can join an existing one as a team member, take part as a Survivor or even organise a Relay For Life event yourself!
