Team up with friends and family and help beat cancer
Relay For Life is a great opportunity to team up with people you know to help beat cancer.
Teams of 8 to 15 people get together and fundraise throughout the year in their local communities to support the work of Cancer Research UK. Then everyone comes together at their local Relay For Life – an inspiring overnight event of celebration and commemoration. There are lots of events happening across the UK so there's bound to be one near you!
On the day of the Relay For Life event members of each team take turns to walk around the track for 12 or 24 hours overnight. This marks the fact that cancer never sleeps.
Get a team together
To start a team there needs to be a Team Captain, who registers first. Team Captains must be over 18, but people of all ages are encouraged to participate in Relay For Life
You can join an existing team or ask someone you know to start a team and join theirs. Or why not consider becoming a Team Captain yourself? Find you nearest event and sign up here.
